Mozambique's capital, Maputo, is known for its well-preserved Portuguese colonial architecture. With its beautiful art deco architecture and its exceptional setting on a hill overlooking the glittering Maputo Bay, the city of Maputo once sparkled as the 'Riviera' of Southern Africa.
Situated below Inhaca Island, the Santa Maria Peninsula, also known as the Machangulo Peninsula, is home to the little village of Santa Maria, which overlooks the beautiful Maputo Bay. Set amidst the mangroves, this little village oozes authentic Mozambican charm with its local restaurant and traditional market stalls. The surrounding area offers a variety of comfortable beachside accommodation dotting the coast and boasting spectacular views. Visitors can enjoy an array of activities such as: boat trips around the glistening bay, snorkelling in the calm turquoise waters, and enjoying a sundowner while listening to the gentle waves lapping the shore. Day 1: Joli GuestHouse, Maputo
Previously called Lourenco Marques, Maputo is Mozambique's largest city and home to the country's most famous harbour. It is well-equipped with a wide selection of hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, a vibrant cultural scene and open-air sidewalk cafes lining the streets. Visitors can stroll down the jacaranda-lined streets of the Baixa neighbourhood in the Old Town, explore the Praca da Independencia square, discover the Neoclassical City Hall and view the unique bronze-domed Maputo Railway Station. Other popular activities include visiting Catembe and Ponta d'Oura's beautiful beaches as well as snorkelling and scuba diving in the warm Mozambican waters.
With a prime location in the quiet Sommerschield neighborhood, there is no better place to relax after a busy day. Quality and comfort are complemented by the stunning décor and beautifully restored family home. Day 2 - 4 : Machangulo Beach Lodge, Santa Maria

Machangulo Beach Lodge, surrounded by five marine and nature reserves, is ideally located on the tip of the Machangulo Peninsula in southern Mozambique and affords guests sweeping ocean views and unique experiences. The guest rooms are modern, spacious and elegantly furnished, each equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a minibar, a hairdryer, a private bathroom and a private deck. Day 4 : Joli GuestHouse, Maputo
After breakfast, you take the boat back to your Guesthouse in Maputo. Your driver drops you off at Feima for lunch (not included), then you're off on a guided tour of the city! You'll discover the secrets of Maputo and soak up its post-colonial, vibrant and colorful atmosphere.

Travel policy :
A visa is required for Mozambique. A passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date is required for Mozambique.
Booking policy :
A deposit of 60% is required to confirm your trip. The balance must be paid one month before departure. Please note that, depending on the date of confirmation of your stay, the exchange rate is currently very volatile, and this may have an impact on the price of your stay. Obviously, any confirmed stay will not be subject to an increase due to the exchange rate.
